MIA in West Texas
I am visiting my sister and her two wonderful kids this week. We are having such fun and keeping SO busy that there really is not time to blog. So much more fun to live life than write about it!
But...look what followed Carolyn and me home two days ago. Out on a stroll through the desert we came upon some uncared for sheep who had just delivered their lambs. One sheep had three lambs, and as you may or may not know - I didn't know, sheep only have two milk spigots so the third lamb is out of luck. The little white one is the third and she was already looking quite weak. It didn't take us long to decide we should take her home. We walked swiftly over and scooped her up. I said 'we should take another so she won't be lonely' so we did! The lambs are basically viewed as 'coyote appetizers' in this country so we figured we did them a favor.
They have been so sweet, such lovable pets; they really love to snuggle. I believe I am their preferred 'mother' as they follow me everywhere, quiet when I am in sight and bleating in tiny lamb voices when I am not. I have become quite proficient at feeding them from bottles - imagine! I will be sad to leave them when I go home next week!

We have had an idyllic Sunday morning: I satin the warm on the long covered front portico peeling fruit for a breakfast salad and conversing with both my nephew, who was inside the kitchen preparing French Toast, and my sister ,who was watering the garden.
Here is the gorgeous Southwest scene which sends us to bed each night!
