Look Who Came to Breakfast

My sister Carolyn and her wonderful children, Paul and Regena came for a surprise visit for Dad's birthday! Guess what they brought for a birthday present.....this gorgeous rooster - yay!

We are all thrilled to be awakened by his very musical rendition of cocka-doodle-doo. He starts crowing two hours later than both Stew and Dumpling did so we think he might be a keeper. His feathers are irridescent blue, orange, gold, brown,and black and then there are the brilliant red comb and wattle.

He is also very chivalrous to the hens; he stands guard to warn them of danger, and he gives a unique cluck to alert them to a delicious bug crawling by. He's a good rooster and very beautiful!
