Things I never thought I'd do - part two

Dad has had a small operation on his baby toe and is slightly laid up this weekend. I've been taking over some of his chores; that is how I came to find myself striding purposefully out to the chicken pen swinging a bucket of water in one hand and in the other, by the tail ...a dead mouse. I know, I know, how disgusting! But we catch one or two a week in the attic and we have to do something with them - and you know how important it is to recycle...

GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS ... remember when you caught one while I was visiting and you all tried to be sneaky so I would not freak out. How little faith you had in me to handle a cute little dead mouse. Kirst just had mice and we made up a nice fairytale about them. They were three old ladies. She still had to kill them of course: )
