Who is this young old man?

I am out in the yard looking at 'the woodpile'; a place of discarded boards the Daves have taken off the shed in the re-roofing process, as well as other wood Dad has collected over the years. I have a commission to build a table - really! The sun is already hot this morning an feels really good on my back. I am standing here partly to look at wood and wait for inspiration to arrive and partly just to feel the warmth of the sun.

My Dad walks past carrying a clear welding helmet. His baseball cap is on backward - backward? Dad? He is tall and lanky and although he will be 79 next week he strides purposefully and with the energy of a much younger man. He normally wears jeans which fit his slim fram quite snugly; but today he is wearing looser jeans and has them cinched up at the waist and a white T shirt. He looks pretty trendy; I wouldn't be too surprised to see a skateboard nearby!
